DP3 Architects has been selected to provide design services for renovations to the veterinary clinic at the Greenville Zoo. Funding for the design services has been made possible through a Hollingsworth Grant that the Friends of the Greenville Zoo was recently awarded.

The renovations will include updates and improvements to the treatment and surgical suite; repair and maintenance of the existing holding and quarantine enclosures; minor modifications to the lab and office area; and other general repair and maintenance issues within the existing 30 year old facility.

The project will be completed in phases over several months, allowing the facility to maintain uninterrupted services for the zoo animals. Major portions of the renovations will be completed by outside contractors, while select minor repair and maintenance portions of the project will be completed by City of Greenville maintenance staff. This public-private approach will provide a more efficient and effective use of limited funds for the project. Friends of the Greenville Zoo will continue to raise funds necessary to complete the renovation project.
