- Winthrop University, realizing that the future growth of their campus was to the west side of their existing campus, asked DP3 Architects to explore the possibility of a new “Core Campus” if the University did in fact grow to the west. DP3 Architects was asked to develop the Core Campus District design and the architectural character, as well as explore the vehicular and pedestrian impact of such a move. Also to be considered were future facilities that included a Library, Wellness Center and Campus Center.
