- Greenville, South Carolina
- The Sterling Community of Greenville, SC is a predominantly African-American neighborhood dating back to the early 1900’s. Sterling High opened in 1896 and was the first secondary school opened to African-Americans in the Upstate. The school continued operations until 1970 with desegregation of schools in Greenville.
Because of their extensive experience with historic buildings, both on the National Register as well as within established historic districts, DP3 Architects was commissioned to design and plan a new expansion to the existing Sterling High School turned Community Center. The new addition will offer expanded community meeting space and additional facilities for after-school programs.
