Hailing from the midwest, Douglas earned his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. He found his way south by way of Clemson, where he earned his Master of Architecture degree. Douglas joined DP3 in 2012, after practicing architecture since 1989.
Douglas assumed the role of Higher Education Studio Leader in January of 2018. While much of his focus is on project development, including sustainable design and construction administration, he strives to find innovative ways and new technologies to bring a client’s vision to life for the higher education studio.
Douglas contributes to the community outside of work as well, being a former board member for Safe Harbor Women’s Shelter, the 2014-2015 Chairman of the Board for the South Carolina Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class XXV. Douglas is also greatly involved in his church community with his wife and two wonderful children.
