“To me, art is about evoking emotions and storytelling. The design of a building does that too. It sets the mood of the space, but it also tells a story about the building’s purpose and about the people who occupy it.”

Kait Ripley

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Kait made her way to Greenville to study at Greenville Technical College and to be closer to family. While at Greenville Technical College, Kait earned her Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology. She had always been interested in design, but it wasn’t until she was studying to be an electrician that architecture sparked her interest. It was drawing floor plans to lay out lighting and power circuits where she found a passion for building design.

Upon graduating, Kait joined the DP3 Architects team where she will be working on the production side of things in the hospitality studio. She was drawn to the firm because of the variety of project types and welcoming atmosphere. The most rewarding aspect of design for Kait is telling the story of a space and the people who occupy it through design. In her spare time, Kait can be found pursing her creative outlets in writing or painting while hanging out with her dogs.
