Monterrey Restaurante Mexicano
DP3 Architects was commissioned to design a new 6,700-square-foot restaurant with a full service bar and kitchen. The design is modeled after typical Mexican Haciendas which feature outdoor courtyards and patios with a sense of monumentality.
Patrons are greeted by splashes of color on the exterior walls contrasted by the stone entrance and oversized hand crafted entry doors. The 2-story interior features 2 dining rooms flanked by stone walls highlighting Mexican artisan pottery and paintings. The bar is anchored by the deep tones of its reclaimed-wood top and oversized wall screens reminiscent of Picado paper crafts. Patrons of the restaurant have the option to dine in an outdoor space surrounded by a heavy crafted wood trellis and iron railings. The design is a perfect contrast of rustic and modern architectural features.
