DP3 Architects Celebrates Official Ribbon Cutting for the Greenville State Farmers Market Renovation
On October 24, DP3 Architects joined the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, South Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers, market vendors, and community members for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the completion of the Greenville State Farmers Market renovation. The upgraded facility now provides an enhanced experience for both vendors and visitors, with a focus on accessibility and local engagement.
“This beautiful expanded market facility offers great opportunities for South Carolina farmers and small business owners to connect with the public – and that’s what our State Farmers Markets are all about,” said Commissioner Weathers. “I’m proud of our team’s work, and I know visitors will enjoy the results.”
The renovation, led by DP3 Architects, includes a wood-beam canopy entrance designed to create a warm and inviting gateway for guests while offering space for seasonal displays and community gatherings. Inside, the vendor areas now features roll-up glass doors that provide an abundance of natural light.
Located at 1354 Rutherford Road in Greenville, the State Farmers Market continues to host popular community events such as Small Vendor Saturdays and the semi-annual Plant and Flower Festivals, showcasing South Carolina’s vibrant agricultural and artisan communities.
DP3 Architects is honored to have played a role in reimagining this vital public space, one that celebrates the state’s agricultural heritage while supporting local entrepreneurship and community connection.
