Greenwood County Celebrates Groundbreaking of the Railroad Historical Center Exhibition Hall

DP3 Architects joined the Greenwood County community on Thursday, April 2nd, to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Railroad Historical Center Exhibition Hall in downtown Greenwood, SC.

Greenwood’s Railroad Historical Center (RRHC), established in 1970, pays homage to railway preservation and the rail industry’s impact on Greenwood’s growth. Designed by DP3 Architects, this project is a 20th Century Southern Passenger Depot replica, complete with the traditional yellow and green paint. Located at 908 Main Street South in Greenwood, the Exhibition Hall will serve as both a museum and an event space, creating an immersive experience to educate the public about the railroad’s significant role in the region’s economic and cultural development.
