The project includes development of 13 acres of county-owned property near the existing Cherokee County landfill for the relocated operations of its various public works operations in accordance with previous feasibility studies prepared by DP3 Architects. New building square footages are as follows: 25,400-square-foot operations & maintenance (roads & bridges, solid waste, and fleet maintenance); 14,000-square-foot recycling center; and 10,000-square-foot animal shelter.
