Newberry Public Safety Complex

Newberry, SC

The Newberry Public Safety Complex is a comprehensive new facility designed to enhance public safety and emergency response for the community.

The project involves the demolition of two outdated buildings to make way for a state-of-the-art 24,000-square-foot building. This facility will feature four fire apparatus bays, four EMS apparatus bays, administrative offices, a 75-person training room, bunk rooms, and living/support spaces.

The site improvements will include 30 paved parking spaces, overflow gravel parking, a CDL driver training pad, and a 6” fire line extension to a training tower with a new hydrant. Additional features include potential stormwater detention and code-compliant landscaping across the approximately 7.5-acre surveyed area of the 313-acre site.

Designed with critical operations in mind, the complex will integrate robust mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. With a project budget of $7.75 million, this facility will provide essential infrastructure to support Newberry County's public safety needs.
