The Sumerel Office Building

Legacy Square | Greenville, SC

Legacy Square is a 13-acre neighborhood-scaled town center at the heart of Verdae’s residential cornerstone, Hollingsworth Park.

THE STORY

DP3 Architects provided design services to develop a new 3-story office building consisting of leasable office and retail space at the ground floor level, WJC&B office space at the second floor, and WJC&B and NHE office space at the third floor. Upfit design and engineering services for the office and leasable tenant spaces were included in this project for WJC&B (14,750 SF at the second floor) and NHE (8,010 SF at the third floor). Materials were used in the design to link the building to the existing community. Breaking up the scale of building provides interest while maintaining a connection to Hollingsworth Park. This building provides desirable commercial opportunities without sacrificing visual appeal to both residents and visitors.

The Sumerel Office Building

Legacy Square is a 13-acre neighborhood-scaled town center at the heart of Verdae’s residential cornerstone, Hollingsworth Park. Design and construction of the first phase was completed in late 2015 and is now home to more than a dozen businesses. With plans to immediately begin the second phase of the project, Verdae Development engaged DP3 Architects to assist in refining design standards for the Sumerel at Legacy Square.

As part of the third phase of the project, DP3 Architects provided design services to develop a new 3-story office building consisting of leasable office and retail space at the ground floor level, WJC&B office space at the second floor, and WJC&B and NHE office space at the third floor. Upfit design and engineering services for the office and leasable tenant spaces were included in this project for WJC&B (14,750 SF at the second floor) and NHE (8,010 SF at the third floor).
