South Greenville Summary Court
Simpsonville, SC
Located between the City Hall and Fire Station Headquarters within the new Simpsonville Municipal Complex, the South Greenville Summary Court brings together judicial services for both the City of Simpsonville and Greenville County. DP3 Architects worked with both clients to create a space that balances functionality, security, and a welcoming public presence. The building includes three dedicated courtrooms, one for Municipal Court proceedings and two for Magistrate Court operations, allowing each entity to operate independently while sharing common support spaces. This efficient layout meets the distinct needs of both jurisdictions while maximizing the use of space and resources.
A highlight of the design is the light-filled public lobby, warm wood accents, and clean lines that add a sense of simplicity and professionalism throughout, creating a civic environment that is both approachable and respectful of the judicial process. The South Greenville Summary Court plays a key role in the overall function of the municipal campus and reflects the city and county’s shared commitment to improving public access to essential services.
