School of Nursing
Anderson University | Anderson, SC
The School of Nursing is housed in Vandiver Hall on Anderson University’s campus. DP3 Architects repurposed the existing space within Vandiver Hall to accommodate the programmatic needs for the School of Nursing.
The project encompassed approximately 20,000 square feet and includes the addition of a second floor, within the existing gymnasium to provide additional program space for seminar classrooms, skills laboratory, health assessment laboratory, and cadaver laboratory in addition to faculty and administrative offices. Also included in the project is the addition of an entrance portico on the northeast facade.
This project utilized a variety of energy-related strategies including the energy-efficient lighting with motion sensors, low-flow plumbing fixtures with motion sensors, low albedo roofing, and energy efficient HVAC equipment.
